The State of CAlifornia requires Loomis to provide 200 moderate price living units. The Planning Commission has indicated a couple of possible locations, The include on Sierra College Blvd across from the college, next to th KOA camp ground on Taylor Road and Next to Clark Powers School.
What location do you favor or do you have a different location?. The site needs to be a minimum of 5 acres.

State takes Loomis Money
The State of CAlifornia is planning to take 8% of Loomis property tax to help balance the state budget. Before this more the Town of Loomis had lost $350,000 in revenues because of declining property taxes and reduced sales tax. Now the state wants to farther Loomis financial problem by taking and additional amount of money from the Town.
Enought is enought. Call Ted Gaines in Sacramento and tell him to oppose this idea.

Loomis Hires Park and Open Space Planners
The Town of Loomis has hired ERM and associates to prepare the town's park, open space and stream plan. This plan will indicate where future parks should be located, How open space can be saved and how the creeks can be used by the whole community.
Work on this plan should begin in July with a series of public workshops. For additional information check the town of Loomis web site.

Check out the I LOVE LOOMIS web site, It has all kinds of information about Loomis. It has been made possible by a $5,000 donation from the Town. Local business people like Wild Chicken and Peter Oates are working on it. The purpose of the web site is to attract people to down town Loomis.
