When the Town of Loomis started about 26 years ago It was told what service it could provide by the Local Formation Agency. The new Town could not provide or take over any existing services.
The existing service were Fire District, Water District, and Sewer District.
The Town of Loomis provides police service along with the other Town services such as planning, building inspections and public works and takes care of the Sunrise Loomis Park as well as some other out door areas.
The park on King Road is a county park and is taken care of by Placer County

So I'm assuming that the Park and Open Space Commission was not part of the existing services?
The Town of Loomis does not provide police services directly, it is contracted thru the Placer County Sheriff's Office.
Is the Sunrise Loomis Park part of the Park & Open Space Commission? Will the parks on King Road become part of the commission also?
I've never heard of a Local Formation Agency. Is this because Loomis became a town and not a city?
What Public Works does the Town of Loomis provide?
I think that buying the old SPMUD building was a waste of money. When the Town Hall moves over behind Raley's what's going to happen to the old SPMUD building then? Turned into a museum?
Loomis is stuck in the past. I believe that's why it's in the shape that it's in today. We are sure you have heard of an ostrich with it's head in the sand... But blindfolded !!!??
There's a white elephant in the room that no one in Loomis wants to talk about.
