| At present there is no plans for train service to Loomis. When i Was a member of PCTC I kept insisting that Loomis have a train stop. It was included in the long range plan as far as I know. I also contacted the Executive of the Capitol Corridor. He assured me that train service was possible and ran some test train from Sacramento to Auburn up the Loomis track If you know the Loomis track is usually only used for trains going West and the Sierra College track is used for trains going East. The test was to show that both East and West bound train could stop in Loomis. You need to check with Loomis current PCTA reprersentative Russ Kelly to see if he is still persusing the train stop. |
