The voters of Loomis approved the fire assement by a voted of 68% This will allow the fire district to provide a full time professional fire department in Loomis now and in the future.

I want to thank all of the people in Loomis who voted to save our lives and our proptery.

This vote was a sham!

This is a crime that a vote was taken in this manner.

No wonder the Placer County Elections Divison will be working with Ted Gaines office to keep these elections from happening in the future.

What is going to happen when the LFPD needs to build another station on the other side of the RR tracks because now Loomis has added another 500 homes? Where will they get the money for more salaries then?

I find it very funny that the voters of Loomis did not pass this same issue two other times, but now they surpassed even a two-thirds vote??? Maybe because they counted votes from actual registered voters instead of votes per parcel owners (one vote per parcel). Ya think?

THE RICH DECIDED THE OUTCOME OF THIS ELECTION THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT.

Do we want this to keep happening in the future?

The rich are the ones that can afford to keep paying the higher taxes, not the poor or folks on fixed income.

The old folks won't have to worry about whether or not the Loomis Fire can pay firefighters to come by to provide medical service because they won't be able to afford to live here any longer.

Wow, thank goodness, now the pressure is off of The Town of Loomis to do anything about this mess!

Good job Town of Loomis on helping out our fire dept.
You guys are probably way too busy with lawsuits against developers to worry about helping out our fire dept.

Our town's priorities stink!

This was a sham, and my property is made up of 3 small parcels, but I only got ONE vote, even though I am being assessed THREE times, and the lot can't even be split. Why don't we just have post card elections for president. This is criminal.

It was reprehensible. These types of "votes" are a sham because the votes are weighted. The fact that so many were scared and shamed into voting yes means we'll probably get more of these faux democracy procedures again. The fire people had better not EVER come begging for money again.
