The Loomis Fire District will be asking the people in the district if they would approve and additional fee of about $90 a year to keep the fire district operating.
Some of the advantages of the district operating are:
Lower Home Fire Insurance Rates
Best emergency response time in the area 4 minutes or less.
Local control of the department.

If you read your survey, the assessment would be for $125.
Even John Shearer, Loomis Fire Protection District Board of Directors Vice President is even quoted in the Friday, June 29, 2007 issue of the Loomis News as saying:
"The $130 figure would keep Loomis operating for another five or possible 10 years but would probably face some sort of financial problem again."
