| For years I have tried to work on projects that helped the downtown. Loomis ahd the first Farmer's Market. The Train Depot has a lot of special events. The Summer Concerts brings people. These are all things I have worked on. I have asked the Town Council to consider a plan to revitilized downtown but they show little intrest. If you are concerned either write or contact the other Council people with your concerns. |

I see that the summer concerts will be starting, they were the best thing from last summer!! THE bands chosen were excellent!! What bands will be there this year, and what times again?Is this posted on a website anywhere for public info? I am so excited!
We NEED a revitalization plan! Give us emails and addresses so we can lobby the other council members. Let's make the downtown area a nice place to go. Businesses would pay the high rents if people would come, but first downtown has to not look so cruddy.
A project of this scope need to be gone about with a master plan. There should be a blueprint for all the changes that will take place, and it should include razing buildings that are just to ugly to make nice. It should include landscaping and sitting areas and places for fountains and art, and yes, you will have to pursue the involvement of developers who have the money to make it happen. Loomis has very little revenue for this sort of thing because it has shunned business development for so long.
Are you in favor of Term Limits for the Loomis Town Councilmembers?
