Ever new home in Loomis pays a park fee. Currently this is about $4,000 per house. By law this money must be used to provide parks for the new residents. The money cannot be used for any other purpose.

Please use some of this money to provide a park(s) for the older kids in this town to use (i.e., skate park, etc.)
The older kids in this town do not have any type of facility to play/hang out in.
My son who is 15 years old has mentioned to me how nice it would be to have a video arcade in Loomis. It would just be nice for them to have some place for them to call their own, and where they can stay out of trouble.
So... buying a piece of property and turning it into a park is not cheap. Considerng the number of new houses we build here in Loomis, there will most likely never be enough money to have many parks. I am ok with that and everyone else should be too. It is the reality of living in a slow growth area. Want lots of parks? --Lincoln has a bunch (have fun living there).
We have the most beautiful park in the whole area on King Road (even though it technically it isn't a 'Loomis' park because it is run by the county). What else do you want?
Here's an idea though. You know that ugly 'cram it in because we have 100 sq feet of space' Chamber of Commerce building? That could have been a nice landscaped area that would have passed as a small park. It would have helped make the gateway to the town nicer which is what we need to attract people to our downtown. I still don't see how having the Chamber of Commerce building there will help our businesses downtown. Please explain it to me.
